WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT PHYSIOTHERAPY AT LIME?
At Lime Physical Therapy our goal is to help you overcome the physical limitations that an injury or disease may be placing on you and how you like to live your life. We want you to be able to participate fully in your family activities, sport, work and leisure activities – whatever really matters to you.
We encourage independence and responsibility for and commitment to your own health and well-being.
We also offer Physiokey/SCENAR Therapy. (Read more below)
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Your first treatment will begin with learning more about the history of the problem which brought you to us and some relevant past medical history. We will assess your condition and diagnose the problem. Education is a large component of helping to relieve symptoms and avoid exacerbation so we’ll make sure you understand your injury thoroughly.
Your initial visit will also include treatment. Ongoing, your treatment plan will take into account your lifestyle, activities, and general health.
Physiotherapy treatment is safe and clinically effective. Your treatment may include manual or hands-on therapy to relieve pain and help promote movement. Our bodies thrive on movement and restoring this is a primary goal. As soon as possible you will be asked to participate in a tailored home program of exercises. Your exercises will encourage movement, promote strengthening and support the treatment you receive one on one in our clinic in North Lakes. Your posture is an important factor in your recovery so we’ll assess a variety of static and dynamic postures (standing, sitting, walking etc) and help you to address any problems that may be contributing to your condition. We look at the whole picture to provide the best solution for you now and into the future.
We can support your rehabilitation through the use of our in-house clinic gym. You can also attend our small group Clinical Pilates and Yoga classes which offer close supervision and support for your recovery.

We offer Physiokey/SCENAR Therapy
Physiokey or SCENAR treatment is a highly effective combination of therapies that allows our therapists to provide fast, optimal recovery from injury. At Lime, Physiokey therapy also allows us to achieve great results for our patients with many conditions that have been unresponsive to other therapies. Many of our patients have come to us and achieved great results after previously seeing little benefit from other treatments. Physiokey is a non-invasive, natural therapy using electrical impulses on the skin combined with biofeedback to stimulate the body to restore normal function.
Physiokey/SCENAR therapy allows us to:
Start treatment at the earliest possible time
Start before swelling goes down (no need to wait until we can ‘touch’ your injured body part)
Start your recovery immediately.
Speed your recovery by treating more frequently than is usually possible
Pain free treatment
The Physiokey device works through your skin (transdermal). It uses computer-modulated, electrical impulses to stimulate your brain (electroneuro-stimulator). The brain responds with it’s own signal which is then picked up by the Physiokey device.
