If you are new to the clinic we will email you your intake forms to complete in advance. If you are unable to access these, please arrive a little earlier to assist us in keeping to time. Make sure to bring with you any referral letters, examination films and reports, list of current medications, appropriate exercise clothing (for physiotherapy, exercise physiology, yoga or pilates appointments only), an idea of what your goals may be and a keen sense of enthusiasm for learning how you can facilitate your recovery.
Our practitioners are all qualified and required to be registered with their appropriate registration body. Most registration bodies require their registered practitioners to keep up to date with new information, technology and techniques by mandatory continued education.
Our fees vary according to which service you require and which practitioner you will see. Your out of pocket costs will vary according to your claim situation, be it Private Health Insurance Extras, Medicare Chronic Diseases Management Plan, DVA, Work cover, Third Party, uninsured or PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation. We can give you the information relevant to your treatment service and method of payment to enable you to understand up front what your costs may be.
Yes, we have HICAPS claiming facilities in the practice allowing in most cases for your rebate to be paid immediately.
We offer discounts for aged pensioners and children under the age of 18 yrs for a number of our services. For all other cases , we are happy to discuss your fee based on your personal situation.
Yes, we have Healthpoint claiming facilities in the practice allowing in most cases for your rebate to be paid immediately. The rebate will vary according to your level of cover which can be discussed with your Private Health Insurer. In the instance this is not possible due to the Insurer or the Service not being claimable through our system, you will be supplied with a receipt to enable you to claim direct with your Insurer.
Yes we accept care plans or CDMPs (Chronic Disease Management Plans) –formerly known as EPC Plans (Enhanced Primary Care). Please note that payment is required in full for this service (cash or EFTPOS) but if you bring with you a debit card and Medicare card, we can process your claim for you on the spot so the rebate will be refunded to your bank account electronically, usually within 24 hrs. Please note that we cannot process this via a credit card and that we do not have access to the bank details you may have already given to Medicare.
Physiotherapy can be bulk billed for musculoskeletal complaints between 12 pm and 2 pm. Outside of these hours and for complex problems like lymphoedema we require full payment but can provide the Medicare rebate on the spot immediately in most cases. Exercise Physiology can be bulk billed as can the follow up appointments for visits with our Dietitian. There is no bulk billing available for Social Work/Counselling services.
This is dependent on many factors and will be discussed on an individual basis with you by your practitioner.
We have early morning appointments and some evening appointments available.
Our appointment times vary according to the treatment you require. Most appointments are 30 mins however we also offer 45 minute, 60 minute appointments. All individual appointments are one on one for the specified time.
Yes, absolutely. Your treatment options will be fully explained. You always have the right to refuse or query any treatment you are offered.
Many treatments are enhanced by the addition of activity outside of the relatively short time you will spend with your practitioner compared to your entire week. As such your therapist will advise you on activities including exercises to speed your recovery and maximise your recovery. The choice to comply with your programme remains yours!
